Seagate Wireless Plus 2TB - Not detected on USB 2.0 ports

Provides information regarding Seagate Wireless Plus not being detected on USB 2.0 ports.

Seagate Wireless Plus requires a USB port to provide 5V of power (±5%). Some computers have been known to provide less than 4.7V of power, which is below the tolerance allowed. In these systems, the Seagate Wireless Plus will not detect correctly, nor will it be accessible. There are ways to help resolve the connectivity:

  • Connect the drive to another USB port. USB 3.0 is preferred.
  • Use a powered USB hub that provides proper power.
  • Try connecting the drive to another computer.
