Information on how to use the Samsung STORY Station 3.0 at the maximum speed.

You will not experience USB 3.0 performance if your computer does not support USB 3.0, if USB 3.0 drivers are not properly loaded, or if you are using a USB 2.0 cable.

To use the STORY Station 3.0 at the maximum speed, you need a PC or a host card that supports USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 cables. If your system does not have a USB 3.0 port, purchase a USB 3.0 host card separately. The USB 3.0 cable is included with the STORY Station, and the USB 3.0 drivers are included with the USB 3.0 host card or the motherboard.

The STORY Station 3.0 does require the power adapter to connect with the computer. The USB 3.0 interface does not provide enough electrical power to operate the STORY Station.

To confirm that your computer supports the USB 3.0 interface, connect the STORY Station 3.0 to your computer with the USB 3.0 cable and check the LED color on the STORY Station. The LED color will change from green (or white) for USB 2.0 and blue for USB 3.0. The LED color will change when the user changes the USB mode.
