The model numbers with the "A" suffix is UltraATA 100 speed, and model numbers with the "AS" suffix are Serial ATA (1.5 Gbit/sec for Barracuda 7200.7).

Barracuda 7200.7 Serial ATA drives do not use any jumper at all outside of factory usage.

Cable Requirements: An 80-Wire UDMA Interface Cable is REQUIRED for all UDMA/66/100/133 hard drives. It is recommended for all UDMA/33 hard drives.

Model Number Naming Conventions have changed with the release of the DiamondMax 21 series, since Seagate's acquisition of Maxtor.  Seagate drives retain the prefix "ST", while Maxtor-brand drives have the prefix "STM".
