Explains this capacity problem, which is due to an old software version.


A newer version of software is under development to correct the issue.
Check the Auto Update option in the software after November 24, 2008 to obtain an updated version.

To check for an Auto Update:

  1. Open Seagate Manager.
  2. Click the Settings button on the My Drive screen.
  3. Click the "Check for software update" option.
  4. Click Check Now button to see if an update is available.
