The current version of DiscWizard is supported in Microsoft Windows 8/7/Vista/XP. Previous versions of Microsoft Windows, such as Windows 2000, Windows 98SE, and Windows Me, are not supported.
With the latest release of DiscWizard, you can now back up any partition on your computer to another hard drive, removable media such as CD-R/RWs or DVD-R/RWs, or even a drive on your network or an FTP server.
DiscWizard backs up your hard drive by copying everything onto a compressed file or set of files known as a disk image backup. Once a disk image backup is created, you can use DiscWizard to restore the full partition, or individual files or folders from within the backup image.
-
Launch DiscWizard.
-
Click on the Backup button at the top, and then select Disc and Partition Backup.

-
The Partitions to back up screen will appear, displaying the available partitions to backup on your computer.

The C: partition should be selected by default. If you want to backup other partitions, select them here and select Next. If the C: partition is the only partition you need to backup, select Next without making any changes.
-
The Target Backup Archive screen will display, where you will choose where to save your image backup file.

If the default location is acceptable, select Next. If you want to change the location where the backup file will be saved, select Browse. You should now see the window in the example below.

From here, you should see the available locations on the left. Choose where you would like to save the file, give the file a name or click on the Generate Name button, select OK, and then select Next.
-
You should now be at the Finish screen, which gives you a summary of the backup details. Select Proceed to start the backup process.
-
At this point, you should be at the Operation Progress screen. Once it has completed, you should be able to see the image file in the location you assigned as the destination.

If you want to verify that the file has been created, you can browse to it in (My) Computer.
