Instructions for manually uninstalling the Mirra software from MacOS.

Normally the Mirra Uninstaller accomplishes the first phase by automatically removing the Mirra software. Occasionally, however, a Macintosh cannot find a file it needs in order to uninstall the Mirra software. If this happens, you can manually remove the Mirra software.

I. Uninstall the Mirra Application:

  1. In your Activity Monitor, quit all Mirra processes (MirraSatusItem, Mirra Service, and Mirra Monitor).
  2. Delete the folder Applications/Mirra 2.1.
  3. Delete the files /Library/StartupItems/Mirra Monitor and /Library/StartupItems/Mirra Service
  4. Delete the following folders from /Library/Frameworks:
    • MLRPCWO.framework
    • MirraLog4Cocoa.framework
    • MirraCore.framework
    • EDMessageWO.framework
    • EDCommonWO.framework.

The second phase, clearing the chached Mirra data, must be performed manually.

II. Clean Cached Mirra Data:

  1. Delete the folder /Library/Application Support/Mirra/Mirra4Mac.
  2. Delete the folder {home}/Library/Application Support/Mirra/Mirra4Mac.
  3. Delete the file {home}/Library/Application Support/Mirra/MirraHelperTool.
  4. Delete the folder /Library/Logs/Mirra.
  5. Delete all files that begin with /Library/Preferences/com.mirra (for example, /Library/Preferences/com.mirra.Mirra.plist)
