There are a couple of reasons why this message may appear:
The Memeo Service should start up when you boot your system. If it does not, you can try restarting it manually by right-clicking on the Memeo icon in the taskbar tray and selecting the “Debug - Restart Service” option. Also, if you have any firewall and/or anti-virus software running, please make sure it is allowing Memeo to run.
When your computer starts, there are several services that need to run including the Memeo Service. Windows gives each service only 30 seconds to start. If a service does not start within this 30 second timeframe, Windows will terminate the service. There are times when the Memeo Service cannot launch in the 30 seconds (depending on disk speed, available RAM, other services launching, etc.). If restarting the service manually (as above) does not work, you can try increasing the time Windows allows for service startup. This requires a change to the Windows registry. If you want to try this solution, please follow the instructions here:
Incorrectly modifying your registry can make your computer unbootable, so please be sure to follow the instructions exactly. If you have questions about the instructions you should contact Microsoft.
