Important to read before use: This download is only intended for the Maxtor OneTouch and OneTouch II drives models. Use of this software other than recommended can cause issues.

WINOT1to2UP.EXE is a self-extracting archive containing a setup program that will update all previous versions of the Maxtor OneTouch Settings application for original, Maxtor OneTouch drives. This program will only work on compatible Windows operating systems.

The following procedure will walk you through the installation of the Maxtor OneTouch Settings upgrade to your Windows PC:

1. Download and extract WINOT1to2UP to your PC.
2. Double-click on setup.exe to launch the program.
3. Select the Setup Language and click OK.
4. The Maxtor OneTouch Setup prepares the InstallShield Wizard.
5. From the Welcome Screen, click Next>.
6. Review the License Agreement and click Yes.
7. Enter the User Name, Company Name (optional), choose who you want to install the application for (Anyone or just for yourself), and click Next>.
8. Choose the Destination Location and click Next>.
9. …at this point the Maxtor OneTouch Software/Drivers install to your PC. When complete click whether or not you want to restart your PC (required for changes to take effect) and click Finish.
10. After the system restarts, the Welcome to Maxtor OneTouch Setup appears on your desktop. Click the Cancel button, connect (both power and interface cables) your OneTouch drive to your PC, and turn on its power.
11. Double-click on the Maxtor OneTouch icon located on your desktop.
12. This will launch the OneTouch Settings application. The following identifies which options are not available to OneTouch drives:
    1. Drive Management
       • Run Diagnostics
       • Adjust Performance
    2. Security Settings
