How to add folders of photos or videos to Lyve

The Lyve for Mac or Lyve for Windows applications allow you to add folders of photos or videos on your computer to your Lyve collection. Lyve will “watch” these folders for any new content you’ve added, and automatically import that new content to your Lyve collection. With Lyve for Mac, you can also simply drag and drop folders or photos and videos directly into Lyve:

Note that these features only work with folders which are present on your computer’s internal drive. When selecting folders for Lyve to look at, it is currently not possible to add any folders that exist on external drives (If you’d like to add content from an external drive to your Lyve collection, you could just attach that external drive to your Lyve Home’s USB port).

You can choose which folders for Lyve to “watch” and auto-import from by going to the Lyve Preferences menu, under General:

You can also select cloud storage folders like your Dropbox or Google Drive folders:

Adding folders with Lyve for Windows

Just click the Lyve system tray icon and click on Preferences. In the Preferences window, you will want to be on the Auto Import Folders tab. Just click Add Folder, and pick the folders you would like Lyve to watch:
