How to save pictures from social media site using Seagate Dashboard 3


The Seagate Backup Plus drives include software with several features including software to assist in downloading content you previously uploaded to social media sites. Below are steps showing how to use this feature to upload pictures to Facebook. This can be handy if you uploaded photos from a phone or camera and forgot to back them up to your computer.
This is a quick walk through of how to save pictures from Facebook using Seagate Dashboard 3.
  1. Open Seagate Dashboard by double-clicking the Seagate Dashboard 2.0 icon on the desktop.

    If the software is not installed see article 005887 for instructions on installing the software.
  2. On the Home screen select the Social option.

  3. Select the Save button
  4. Select Facebook or other service to login.  This will open a new Window with Login options.

  5. Enter your account information for Facebook (or other chosen service).
    Check the Keep me Logged in option if you don’t want to enter this each time.
    Once you have entered your login information you will be returned to the Dashboard screen.
  6. It will automatically download the pictures that have been posted by you to your wall and albums.
  7. The pictures will be saved in a folder named My Online Documents in your user folder. Click the magnifying glass to browse these files.
