Business Storage Windows Server NAS - How to Create a Group


Explains the procedure for creating a group in the Windows Server NAS.

Please follow this procedure to create a group in the Business Storage Windows Server Network-Attached Server device, to which you can add users:

  1. Click on the Server Manager icon (Server Manager launch icon) on the bottom left of the Windows screen.
  2. Select the Tools menu in the upper right, then select Computer Management.

  3. Expand Local Users and Groups.
  4. Expand Groups.
  5. Right-click in an empty area in the right pane and select New Group...

  6. Enter a Name and Description for the group, then press the Add button.
  7. Enter the name you want to add and select Check Names.
    You can separate names with a semicolon if you want to add more than one.
  8. Select OK when complete.
  9. Select OK again to finish.
