Business Storage Rackmount NAS - How to setup MyNAS for remote access


Provides instructions for configuring Remote Access through MyNAS.

Please follow this procedure to set up MyNAS to access the content on your NAS OS device from a remote location or different network:

  1. Access the administrator's page of the Rackmount NAS by launching the Seagate Network Assistant and pressing the Web access to the NAS OS Dashboard button, or by typing the IP address of the device in the address bar of a web browser.
  2. Under Settings in the left sidebar, select Network.
  3. Select the Remote access tab.
  4. In the drop-down menu, select Seagate MyNAS.
  5. Enter a unique name for your NAS device that you will use to access your NAS remotely, then click Apply.
