Seagate Wireless Plus Wi-Fi transfer speed is slow

Provides advice in case the Seagate Wireless Plus wireless signal is not meeting expectations.

You may find that the performance of the Seagate Wireless Plus’ wireless signal is not meeting expectations while connected concurrently (as described in Document ID: 005104).

To achieve better wireless performance, disconnect the Wireless Plus device from the Internet. See Document ID: 005687 for instructions.

The best method of transferring large files/folders or a large number of files/folders is to connect the Wireless Plus to a computer’s USB port via the USB 3.0 cable. A USB 3.0 port will provide even better transfer speeds.
