Seagate Wireless Plus - Wi-Fi signal not detected



Instructions for resetting the Seagate Wireless Plus' wi-fi signal in case troubleshooting is necessary.

If your Seagate Wireless Plus signal is not detected, please follow the steps below to reset the network connection on the drive.

This procedure is not data-destructive. Seagate always recommends you keep a backup of your data at all times, however.

  1. Locate the reset button on the back of the unit next to the label.


     
  2. Insert a paperclip or other pointed object into the reset button and hold for 5 seconds, then release. This will reset the drive back to its original network settings. This will not affect the data on the drive.
  3. Power off the Seagate Wireless Plus device.
  4. Wait for 2 minutes.
  5. Power on the Seagate Wireless Plus again.
  6. Wait for the LED lights on the front of the drive to reach the solidly-illuminated state.
  7. Attempt to connect to the drive through the Settings of your mobile device. Select Wi-Fi and then Seagate Wireless from the list of available networks.
