How can I tell when the Dashboard backup was successful?



This article will discuss the two methods to determine when a backup was completed successfully using the Seagate Dashboard software.

Method 1 - Check the backup plan status message
Please follow this procedure:

  1. Open the Seagate Dashboard software.
  2. On the Home screen, click the Protect option.


     
  3. Select Restore Files.



    Dashboard will then display a list of all the backup plans. Under the backup plan, it will show the date and time of the last successful backup.

Method 2 - Check the backup log
Please follow this procedure:

  1. Open the Seagate Dashboard software.
  2. Click the Settings icon () in the upper right of the screen.
  3. Select the Log tab.

    In the Seagate Dashboard log, you can see when files were backed up, if the backup plan completed successfully, and how much data was backed up. If Seagate Dashboard shares or saves media from your social media networks, information about when the files were transferred appears in the log.
