How do I move programming from a Dish Network receiver to the Seagate DVR Expander?


Provides instructions for transferring recorded programming between a Dish Network DVR and the Seagate DVR Expander.

To install and set up the Seagate DVR Expander from a Dish Network DVR (DVR models 211k, 612, 622, 722, and 722k), please follow the below procedure.

  1. Press MENU on your DISH remote control.
  2. Select Multimedia or press the 4 button and then select My Media.



    At this point you will have the ability to move programming from the receiver to the DVR Expander or vice versa.
  3. Select My Media under External USB Devices or press the number 2 on the remote control to access the Seagate DVR Expander.


     
  4. Select Send to Device or press the 2 button on the remote control.


     
  5. Use the up/down arrow buttons on the remote control to select programs that you want to move to the DVR Expander.
    Highlight the program(s) to be moved with the SELECT button on the remote control.

  6. Once you have selected the programs you want to move to the DVR Expander, use the right arrow button on the remote control to select To Archive, then press the SELECT button on the remote control.
    The archiving process status message will display.
