How to remove the Seagate Script for the iTunes export tool in MacOS

GoFlex Satellite Export for iTunes is an optional MacOS application that will assist the user in copying media files and playlists from an existing installation of iTunes to the GoFlex Satellite drive. It permits easy export of playlists and associated data to allow the user to play music from the iTunes library on their iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch from the GoFlex Satellite.

Once installed, the tool appears on the top menu bar in iTunes:

Once the Export tool is installed, it may not be obvious how to uninstall it if necessary. Please follow this procedure to uninstall:

  1. From the Mac desktop, select Go.
  2. Select Utilities.
  3. Double-click on the Terminal icon.
  4. In Terminal, type in the following:
    defaults write AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
  5. Once this is complete, double-click on Macintosh HD from the Desktop.
  6. Navigate to Users > username > Library > iTunes > Scripts.
  7. Delete the files Export to GoFlex Satellite.scptd and GoFlex Satellite Exporter for

  8. If everything is installed properly, no reboot should be required.
