Seagate Backup Plus drives include a software program with several features, including software to assist in downloading content you previously uploaded to social media sites like Facebook and Flickr. This can be handy if you previously uploaded photos from a phone or camera and forgot to back them up to your computer.
Please follow these instructions to save pictures from Facebook using Seagate Dashboard 2.0.
Open Seagate Dashboard by double-clicking the Seagate Dashboard 2.0 icon on the desktop.
In MacOS, this icon will be in the Applications folder.
On the Home screen, click the Save option.
Click the Facebook option to login. This will open a new window with login options.
Enter your account information for Facebook.
Check the Keep me logged in option if you do not want to have to enter your account information every time you login.
Once you have entered your login information, you will be returned to the Dashboard screen.
The program will automatically download the pictures that have been posted by you to your wall and albums.
The pictures will be saved in a folder named My Online Documents in your user folder. Click the magnifying glass to browse these files.
Specifically, they can be found here:
Windows 7/Vista: C:\Users\[user name]\My Online Documents
